What a special way to experience this barrier island. It is a rich jewel with undeveloped beaches that add to its allure. Paddling options include a waterfront view of Amelia Island’s historic Forth Clinch, then on to Cumberland Island National Seashore, where guests can experience the beautiful coastal atmosphere that this island has to offer. Not only will kayak guests be able to explore the beautiful coastline and interior waterways, but they will also spend time on the Island having an up close view of the grounds of the historic ruins where wild horses often can be seen. Downtown to Dunes Community Cleanup
Meet before the cleanup at First Love Brewing in Fernandina Beach for a continental breakfast sponsored by First Port City Bank. Pick up supplies and an event tshirt (first 120 volunteers - while supplies last). Bring your gloves and a reusable water bottle. We suggest closed-toe shoes for the cleanup. Site Captains at the Atlantic Rec Center, Front and Alachua in Fernandina Beach, Hickory Street, and First Love Brewing will be available to collect supplies at the end of the cleanup. Return to the site captain no later than 10:30 am.

S.O.S Al-Anon Open Meeting
If someone else’s drinking has affected your life, you are welcome here. S.O.S. is an Al-Anon Family Group that meets weekly in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island. Meetings are free, confidential, and open to newcomers. Al-Anon is a mutual support fellowship for families and friends of alcoholics. It is not AA, and it is not for the person with the drinking problem. It is for the people whose lives have been affected by someone else’s drinking — whether that person is a spouse, parent, child, sibling, friend, partner, or loved one.
